Global Project Executive, IT Operations, IBM

>> My name is Jennifer Pyann [assumed spelling] and I'm a global project executive for IBM. So a global project executive is a individual that is engaged when we do strategic outsourcing. So when a company outsources their IT operations to IBM, usually you'll have a project executive assigned to you where we own the client relationship. It's our responsibility to make sure that the services that you've contracted with IBM are being delivered. We bring thought leadership. We're also an individual that you would utilize to tap into the greater IBM, right? So if you say, you know, I don't currently have this in place today or IBM doesn't do this today or another company doesn't do this for me today, but do you do this, I think I might need this or I have this issue, it's our job to make sure that we suggest ways for those things to be accomplished or those problems to be solved so bringing that thought leadership, bringing some innovation, and some value to the client. Usually, project executives, they either have a home base, right their hometown and if they're lucky their customer is located there. And if not, you know, they may be located in another city. But usually, for those relationships and to make sure that they're a value add we like to be sitting across from our customer. So that requires certainly some travel. Usually, it can vary from five days a week where you're home on the weekends. Sometimes it can be more limited where only a couple of days out of the week and some are even more fortunate and get to do every other week. So it really depends on the needs of the customer and really depends on the size of the IT operations that we're managing and the team that's managing, so--
